CHAIRMAN – RICHARD ASTON
I joined the committee of the Coventry Charity Football Cup in 1999 when Keren Barratt invited me to join. In 2003 I had the great honour of being invited to become Chairman, and I have been Chairman since. The biggest highlight for me, amongst many since I became Chairman, was our Centenary Year in 2007, and especially our Centenary Ball at the Ricoh Arena in September 2007. I challenged the committee to sell 200 tickets, in the end we sold 420 tickets, and during our Centenary year we raised £15,000 to donate to local charities within Coventry & Warwickshire. I am very proud that year-on-year, we continue to increase the amount we donate to local charities, and we now donate treble the amount we donated in 2004. I have a great committee, who all give up many hours throughout the year freely, and wonderful generous main sponsors the Premier Group.
VICE CHAIRMAN – PETER ASHBY
I first became involved with the Charity Cup over 20 years ago. I was asked by a good friend and stalwart of local football Jimmy James, to join the committee. Jimmy held the position that I hold today that of Vice Chairman.
As Vice Chairman I am involved with other people on the Events Sub-Committee. I am also involved together with the Chairman and President on the Liaison Group with our main sponsor. I assist at semi-finals as a gate-man and usually operate the microphone at the final of the football competition.
I have enjoyed my past 20 years or so and hope to continue as long as I am able.

I was invited to join the Committee in 2009 in order to assist with a web and media presence. I work with external media outlets as well providing web support in order to ensure that the competition goes from strength to strength.
